1. INST ALL DUCTW ORK Plan where and how the ductwork will be installed. Install proper-sized ductwork, elbow(s) and roof or w all cap f or the type of blo wer you are installing. If using 6’ ’ (150 mm) round ducts, use a transition. Use 2’ ’ (50 mm) duct tape to seal duct joints.
NO TE: If the bottom of the cupboard is recessed, attach wood strips (not included), as shown beside, in order to properly install the range hood under the cabinet.
NO TE: If this hood replaces another one, please note that the location of the air e xhaust can vary from one manuf acturer to another . 5. INST ALL THE AD APTER/D AMPER Fold do wn the f oldable flange ( C ) of the adapter/damper . This flange must be at 90° from the remaining flanges.
- 7 - 6. INST ALL THE HOOD Run power cab le to installation location. Place the hood at its location. Using a pen, mar k the position of the screws (smaller part of the embossed ke yholes). Remov e the hood and install f our 1/2” double thread scre ws at sides locations ( A ), leaving a 1/8” gap.
- 8 - 8. REINST ALL BO TT OM P ANEL AND FIL TERS Reinstall the bottom panel, using the retaining screw pre viously removed in step 4 plus 4 others from par ts bag. Refer to illustr ation beside. Then, reinstall filters. HO0097 W ARNING Risk of electrical shock.
- 9 - This range hood must use compact fluorescent lamps (120 V , 13 W , PLC13, 2700 K with G24q-1 base) (included). NO TE: The r ange hood is shipped with both fluorescent lamps pack ed behind the light diffuser . 1. T o access fluorescent lamps, remov e the light diffuser b y pushing on its both tabs and pulling it down.
- 10 - T o remov e the blo wer wheel, first take off its intak e ring. Then remo ve the blo wer wheel by pulling it do wn smoothly . HD0156 D Do: • Regularly wash surfaces with clean cloth or rag soaked with w arm water and mild soap or liquid dish detergent.
