These include roll and fanfol d media ( Figure 9 ) that may be labels or card stock and t hat may have optional perforat ions, black marks, or registration h oles.

When you look at the media , you can te ll where one l abel ends an d the next one begins.

The media determines wh ether you need to use ribbon and how wide the rib bon must be.
