035-13606-003 Rev. A (202) 2 Unitary Products Group GENERAL INFORMA TION These outdoor units are designed to be connected to a matching UPG indoor coil with sweat connection lines. The se units are factory charged with refrigerant for a matching indoor coil plus 15 feet of fie ld supplied line.
035-13606-003 Rev. A (202) Unitary Products Group 3 A minimum clearance of 18 inches is required for service at the control panel and compre ssor compartments access. A 10 inch clearance is required for the air inlet to the outdoor coil around the pe rimeter of the uni t.
035-13606-003 Rev. A (202) 4 Unitary Products Group INST ALLA TION OUTDOOR U NIT After the site has been select ed, a solid base pad that will not shift or settle should be provided. Th e base pad should not come in contact with the foundat ion or side of the structur e because sound may be tran smitted to the residence.
035-13606-003 Rev. A (202) Unitary Products Group 5 RE-ASSEMBLING , BRAZING AND CLEANING OF JOINT CONNECTIONS Remove the Schrader V alv e cores from the service valves. Remove the plugs from the service valve fiel d tubing connec- tions. Clean the jo ints to be brazed.
035-13606-003 Rev. A (202) 6 Unitary Products Group REFRIGERANT V AL VE OPERA TION All models in this series have brass service va lves. These valves are not back seating. Opening or closing valve does not close service port. Service ports have Schrader valves for gauge connections.
