8 • With the spark plug wire discon nected and grounded, h old the b lade control handle against the upper handle , and pull the starter rope out of the engine. Release the blade c ontrol handle. Slip the starter rope into the rope guide. Tighten the wing nut.
9 SECTION 5: OPERATING Y OUR LAWN MOWER WARNING: Keep h ands and feet away from the chute area on cutting deck. The blade will be rotating when ever t he engine is running. Be sure no one other than t he ope rator is standing near the lawn m ow er whi le starting the e ngine o r op erating the mower.
10 SECTION 6: MAKING ADJUSTMENTS WARNING: Do not at an y time make any adjustment to your lawn mower without first stopping the engine and disconnect ing the spark p lug wire. Handle Height Your mower is shipped with the handle in the higher height position.
