14 En CONNECTION The system is equipped with the DOCK terminal, which allows you to connect the Yamaha iPod uni versal dock (such as YDS-10 or YDS-11, sold separat ely) where you can dock your iPod. AIR SURROUND XTREME 19 En English BASIC OPERATION This functio n shifts the optimum liste ning are a from side to si de accor ding to your listeni ng position for the best Virtual Surround effect. 1 Press POSITION to enter position mode . The current position appears in the front panel disp lay.
AIR SURROUND XTREME 20 En You can selec t the optim um listenin g area from two modes. Press AREA . Each ti me you pre ss AREA , NORMAL and WIDE modes change alternat ely. NORMAL Select this to sharpen t he sound effe ct. “AREA NORMAL” appe ars in the front panel display when NORMAL mode i s selected.
AIR SURROUND XTREME 21 En English BASIC OPERATION An extended sound is achieve d for a 2 channel sou rce such as a CD player. Press STEREO to enter extended stereo mode. “EXTENDED” appe ars in the fro nt pan el display. Each t ime you pres s STEREO , the func tion is tu rned on (EXTENDED) and off (STEREO) alternately.
