7 When shipped from the f actor y , the left frame is not attached to the Silent Guitar’ s main body . Before using the instrument, please properly attach the left frame using the proce- dure described below . • After the frame is attached, make sure attachment screws 1 and 2 are tightened firml y .
8 T uning Use a tuning meter , pitch pipe, tuning f ork, piano , etc., and tune the open str ings to the pitches shown belo w . • If the string ’ s pitch is high, loosen the string until the string ’ s pitch is slightly lower than the tuning pitch, then tune while raising the string ’ s pitch.
9 Changing Strings 1. Thread the string through the corresponding string hole on the bridge, then tie the string as sho wn in the illustration below . After tying the knot, pull both ends of the string to make the knot f irm on the bridge. 2. Next, tie the strings to the pe gs.
10 Power Supply The Silent Guitar operates either on battery power or with an A C adaptor howe v er , it will consume more po wer when the rev erb function is in use. For that reason, we recommend that it be po wered with the supplied AC po wer adaptor for normal use.
11 Using the Contr ols ■ Using the LINE OUT jack (Using with a guitar amplifier or powered speaker , etc.) 1. Use a standard phone plug cable to connect the Silent Guitar’ s LINE OUT jack to the input jack on the guitar amplifier or po wered speaker , etc.

13 ■ A UX IN jac k • The A UX IN jack can be used to connect an external stereo signal source to the Silent Guitar . Connecting the audio output of a CD player , cassette player, etc. to the instrument allo ws you to play along with the external audio source.
14 When putting the Silent Guitar into the supplied soft case , remove the left frame from the Silent Guitar , and then place in the individual par ts in the case as shown in the illustration belo w . • Put the left frame into the case ’ s larger pocket.
