2 CONSUMER PRECA UTIONS Read these precautions carefully bef ore installing your NS-IW760 speak er . z Bef ore y ou begin installation, read this owner’ s man ual completely and consult your local b uilding codes. If you hav e any doubt, contact y our dealer or a qualified audio/video installer .
3 UNP A CKING After unpacking, chec k that the f ollowing items are contained. z Stereo F or best stereo performance, install the left and right speakers at equal distance from the listening position. Each speaker should be separ ated by a distance of 6- 10 ft.
4 INST ALLA TION 1 P osition the cutout template where you are installing the speaker . Make sure the template is le vel, then trace around the template with a pencil. 2 Drill a pilot hole in the center outline you tr aced. 3 Inser t the bent coat hanger wire into the hole.
5 6 Connect the speaker cab le to the speaker and y our receiver . Please ref er to page 6, “CONNECTIONS” section f or detailed instructions. 7 Place the speaker into the wal l. 8 Tighten each of the six screws e v enly until the clamps at the back of the frame grip the wall to secure the speaker .
6 CONNECTIONS z Connect the screw-type input terminals at the rear of the speakers to the speak er output ter minals of the receiver . z Connect the (+) terminals on the receiver and speakers using the corresponding side of the cab le. Connect the (–) terminals on both components using the other side of the cable.
7 P AINTING THE SPEAKER FRAME AND GRILL The speaker fr ame and grill can be painted to match your room décor . Use high quality spray paint and select a well v entilated area before proceeding.
