USING AUDIO FEATURES 43 En English BA S I C OPERA TION Use the DIRECT mode to enjo y the high quality sounds of the selected source. When the DIRECT mode is activated, this unit plays ba ck the selected sour ce with the least circuitry . Press Q DIRECT (or press 5 AMP and then D DIRECT ) to select “ DIRECT ” .

FM/AM TUNING 45 En English BA S I C OPERA TION There are 2 tuning methods: automatic a nd manual. Automatic tuning is effecti v e when station signa ls are strong and there is no interference. If the signal from th e station you want to select is weak, t une into it manually .
46 En FM/AM tuning Y ou ca n use the auto matic pres et tuning feature to store FM stations with strong signals up to 40 (A1 to E8: 8 preset station numbers in ea ch of the 5 preset station groups) of those stations in order . Y ou can then recall any preset statio n easily by sele cting the preset station number .
