13 Connect the Indoor / Outdoor Ant enna Once y ou have select ed a location, c onnect the antenna t o the ANT IN connect or at the re ar of the XM Dir ect Home T uner . (Aft er completing a f ew additional step s, w e will work on the loc ation of the ant enna.
14 St ep 2: Install the Indoor / Outdoor Ant enna T o begin, try experimenting with the Home Antenna t o get a feel for the r eception in your loc ation.

17 Once y ou have found a suit able location f or the antenna, r oute the antenna c able to the XM Direct Home T uner . Be sure y ou avoid any obs tructions that could crimp , kink, or twist the c able. Use pr otectiv e grommets where ver rough openings ar e encounter ed.

19 St ep 3: Activ ate your XM Dir ect Home T uner Before you can enjoy commercial-free music, plus live sports, news, talk & exclusive entertainment, you need to activate your XM Direct Home Tuner. 1 Make sure your XM Direct Home Tuner is properly installed, turned on, and receiving the XM signal so that you can hear the audio on channel 1 .
20 4 When your service is activated, your XM Direct Home Tuner will receive all channels to which you have subscribed. At this time, if you press the channel up or channel down buttons on your home audio system, you can scroll and tune other channels.
