4 INFORMATION FOR THE INSTALLER The installation, all regulat ions, changes and maintenan ce referred to in this part must only be carried out by qualified staff. A wrong installation can cause damage to pe rsons, anima ls or things which the manufacturer cannot be held responsible for.
5 (*) Note: -B1 is the min. clearance between the front edge of the applia nce and the front edge of the cabinet. -B2 and B4 are the min. cl earance between the l eft/right side edge of the applianc e and the side wall (if present). -B3 is the min. clearance between the b ack edge of the appliance and the back wall.
6 A label on the last page of this manual and on the lo w er part of the case indicates the conditions for regulating the appliance: type of gas and press ure used. IMPORTANT: This appliance mu st be installed in accordanc e with the norms in force of the country concerned and it must only be used in a well-ventilated place.
7 When the connection is made directly with the electricity supply : - Make sure that there is a device to disconnect the appliance from the mains with a contact opening distance sufficient for complete disconne ction in category III overvoltage conditions.
8 BEFORE LEAVING When the installation is co mplete, always check for gas leaks usi ng a soapy solution. Never use a flame t o make this check. Ignite all burners on high flame to ensure correct opera tion of gas valves, burne rs and ignition.
9 Use Proper Pan Size - This applian ce is equipped with several, differently sized, induction elements. Select cookware having flat bottoms, large enough to cover the su rface unit heating element. Proper size pots and pans will also improve efficien cy.
10 Turn the knob that corre sponds to the burner sele ct ed counterclockwise to th e MAXIMUM position at the etched star (large flame) a nd place a lit match up to the burner.
11 You can select the whole griddle zo ne, or only the front or rear zone. Press and turn the knob anti-clockwi se to the selected position (Fig.16-17) Pre-heat at the maximum temperature, (7 position) for 15 minutes, then place the food on the griddle a nd cook to the desired temperature.
