Secure Inst allation and Operat ion of Yo ur ColorQub e™ 9201/9202 /9203 Purpose and Audience This document provide s informa tion on the secure i nstallation a nd operation of a ColorQube™ 92 01/9202 /9203 Multifunc tion System.
2 c). Secure acc eptance of th e C olorQube™ 9201 /9202/92 03, once d evice d elivery and insta llation is com pleted, should be done by: • Printing out a Configura tion Report by followin g th e “How to Pri nt a Configura tion Report” instructi ons locat ed on p age 3-2 of the SAG.
3 • Before invoki ng an On De mand Image Overwrite verif y that: • There are no act ive or pendi ng prin t or scan jobs. • There are no n ew or unacc ounted for Dyna mic Loada ble M odules (DL Ms) or other softwar e runnin g on th e machine. • There are no act ive proc esses that acce ss the hard disk dri ve(s).
4 j). Xerox rec ommends tha t HTTPS be enabled i n the evaluat ed configurati on. To ena ble HTT PS (SSL): • At the Web UI 5 , select th e Properti es tab.
5 r). The System Admi nistrator sh ould ensure that th e Embedded Fa x Card and fax soft ware is installed in accordance with the “Complete th e Fax Set up Screens” instructi ons on page 15-2 in the SAG.
6 u). To enable th e session in activity timer s (terminati on of an i nactive session ) from the Web UI: • At the Web UI, select th e Properti es tab.

The Cust om Servi ces (Exten sible Interface Platf orm or EIP) feature shoul d be disab led to be con sistent with the evaluated configuration . To disable thi s featu re from the W eb UI: • Select the Pro perties tab .
8 3. Xerox re commend s that the System Administrato r set the USB S ettings to ‘Direct P rinting via D river’ mode to allow on ly direct printin g and prohibit submitta l of s oftware upgrade files to th e device fr om a USB Flash Drive.
