3 INSTALLATION MANUAL WORKTOP FRO NTGUARD INST ALLATION INSTRUCTIONS In order to increase the clearance between front edge of the worktop and the burn ers for your safety it i s recomended to install the worktop frontguard supplie d with the appliance.
4 PROXIMITY TO SIDE C ABINET INSTALLATION 1. This rangetop may be installed directly adjacent to exis ting 36" (9 1.5 cm) high b ase cabinets. IMPORTANT: The top grate support MUST be 3/8" (.95 cm) abov e the adjac ent b ase cabinet countertOP.
5 COOKER HOOD INSTALLATION The bottom of the hood should be 2 5 ½ " (65 cm) min. to 31 ½ " (80 cm) above the countertop. Refer to the ran gehood installation instructions for additional i nformation. These dim ensions provide for safe and efficient op eration of the hood.
6 Wiring diagram For freestanding gas range model CB36600X C3Y0..U7X(2 or 5)A CAUTION : label all wires prior to disconnection when ser vicing controls. Wiring errors can cause improper and dangerous operation. Verify proper operation after servicing.
7 GAS CONNECTION All gas connections must be made accordi ng to national and local codes. This gas suppl y (service) line must be the same size or greater than the inlet line of the appliance. T his range uses a 1/2" NPT (see fig. in this chapt er for details of gas connections installations) inlet.
8 REPLACEMENT PARTS Only authorized replac ement parts may be us ed in performi ng s ervice on t he appliance. Repl acem ent parts are availa ble from factory authorized parts distributors. CONVERSIONE TO DIFFERENT TYPES OF GAS Before carrying out any maintenance work, disconnect the appliance from the gas and elec tric supply.

10 SERVICE & MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS Service and mainte nance only to be carried out by a n authorised person To replace parts such as burners, valves and electric co mponents, the appliance must be open removing the worktop. Note: if the valves must be replaced, first di sassemble the ignitions s witches wires.
11 USING BURNERS A diagram is etched on the control panel abo ve each knob which indicates which burner corresp onds to t hat knob. Manual ignition: Manual ignition is always possible even when the power is cut off or in the event of prol onged power failure.
12 WARNING: If the power is cut off, the burners can be lit with matches. The burners equipped with a safety thermocouple can onl y be lit when the knob is i n the MAXIMUM position (large flame etching). CLEANING THE APPLIANCE: Never use abrasi ve cleaners Before cleaning the appliance it shoul d be disconnec ted from the power s upply.
