1 Introduction Wyse Device Manager TM (WDM) software is the premi er enterprise solution for managing network intelligent devices simply , remotely , and secu rely .
2 Chapter 1 About this Guide This guide pr ovides the step -by-step instru cti ons you need to inst all and configur e a WDM environment. It also includes the requ irements you must address before you beg in the installation procedures.
2 Prep aring for Inst allation This chapter contain s the pre-installa tion requ irements you must co mplete to pr epare the environment for WDM inst a llation and configuration.

8 Chapter 2 Upgrading Requirement s WDM 4.9.1 support s an upgrade from WDM version 4.9.0 ONL Y . Y ou cannot up grade from any other version. IMPORT ANT : Af ter upgrading to WDM 4.9.1, you must upgrade all devices with the latest HAgent p ackages available to ensure your devices can be manage d using WDM.
Preparing for Installation 9 Requirement s for Managing PCoIP Devices PCoIP devices (running ThreadX firmware) requir e a DNS Service Location (SRV ) resource record to perform the followin g actions: • Partial Check-In (heartbeat ) - Where the device performs a heartbeat check-in every 5 minutes (this amount of time is not configurable).

16 Chapter 4 About Evaluation Licensing If you are installing WDM Enterprise Edition for evalua tio n, yo u mu st use an Enterprise Evaluation License Key to install and use WDM for 30 days.
