There are 3 ways for R adio power supply: Battery , DC adapter (AC/DC adapter or Car power adapter) a n d USB. Bat t eries will stop wor king when DC adapter or USB used. Put 2 AA batteries into battery bo x of Radio . Both “Ni-MH” and “ Alkaline” are usable.
4.Setup Radio Y ou mu st do initial setu p for the firs t usage. The setup can be done by computer also. Please view chapter three, section 7. 1) Power On : Press button to turn on Radio . ♦ 2) Scan : Press button for 2 seconds, into scan mode. ♦ Note : Press , or select star and band manually .
1) Access Radio ID and Setup Password : When turn into a pa y channel, appears on the LCD display . T o receive it, you need to have a subscription agreement with the services provider and get a set of password (22 or 25 digits number).
Chapter Thr ee Computer Service Mode In this mode, computer controls Radio . Buttons and keys are not operational. 1. Preparing Computer The basic computer requirements are as follows: ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ Computer: X86 PC, Pentium II 266 or higher . Operation system: Windows 98SE/Me/2000/XP .
♦ “Choose Destination Location” dialog box pops up, select destination folder and click “Next ” to cont inue. ♦ “Select Program F older” dialog box po ps up , click “Next” to continue. ♦ “Setup Complete” dialog bo x pops up, select “ ShutDown And Po werOff” and click “Finish” to finish inst allation.
Notice : Connecting Radio with Computer must succeed th e installation of software. ♦ ♦ Make sure both computer and R adio power are off . Connect Antenna, Radi o and Computer . ♦ Fix antenna. R efer to chapter two, section 3. 4.Install DAMB-R Driver After software is properly in stalled and Radio connection is in order , start up computer .
♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ Right click on t he Main Window and select “Do scan” menu it em. Fo r the first time, you are prompted to select antenna t y pe. “Scan now” pops up, clic k “Y es” . W aiting for scanning patiently . First channel in “Play List ” will be played automat ically .
There are ten items for selecting. Item Function 1 Play di rectly Play ch annel u s ing the MP3 decoder embedded in the player 2 Use Winamp Install Winamp first and run it to pl ay channel.
All scanned information is displayed in Play List window . There are five columns in th e list: BCID : Broadcast Channel ID, such as EL1125 SC No. : Service Component number .
6. Data Service DAMB-R supports DMS, CLASS and TONGSHI DA T ACAST that used in W orldSpace system now . Data service provider will provide manual of data reception. 7. Setup Radio DAMB-R Setup is applicat ion software used to setup Radio with computer .
