Do not plug-in or turn-on the power to the monitor until instructed to do so. • Th e foll owin g ill ust rati ons a re for you r referenc e on ly .
11 How to assemble your monitor hardw are T urn the base counterclockwise until y ou cannot go fur ther . Raise the thumbscre w lid ( ) and tighten the thumbscre w as illustrated ( ) . Then push the lid back. Caref ully put do wn the stand an d the base.

13 How to assemble your monitor hardw are T o Connect the DP Cable Connect the plug of the DP cable to the monitor video sock et. Connect the other end of the cable to the computer video sock et. The video cables included in your package and the sock et illustrations on the right ma y var y depending on the product supplied for your r egion.
14 How to assemble your monitor hardware 5. Connect USB devices. Connect the USB cable betw een the PC and the monitor (via the upstr eam USB port at the back). This upstr eam USB port transmit s data between the PC and the USB devices connected to the monitor .

18 How to assemble your monitor hardware Installing shading hood (optional step) • T o pre v ent glare or most of unwanted r eflections from other light sources off y our screen, y ou can install the shading hood. • Please be careful to pr ev ent damage to the shading h ood and the monitor .
19 How to assemble your monitor hardw are 4. Install the right pa r t of shading hood. 5. Attach to the right side of the monitor . Align the L shape bar on the hood with the one on the right side of the monitor , and press down the hood to fix i t firm ly .
20 How to assemble your monitor hardware 7. If you intend to calibrate the displa y’ s color by a colorimeter , slide the piece down so the colorimeter can be installed. Follow the instruction man uals of the colorimeter you purchased and the pro vided software to complete t he installation and calibration process.

T o adjust the monitor heig ht, hold both the left and the right sides of the moni tor to low er the monitor or lift it up to th e desired height. 2. On the monitor stand is an adjustment scale that helps k eep track of y our pr efer r ed monitor height.
