T o avoid trapp i ng th e wo rkpiece or fi ngers betw een the tabl e and abrasi ve disc, the tabl e edge shou ld be posit ione d a ma ximum of 1/16 ” fr om the abrasi ve d isc. Use of the Miter Gauge The mi ter gauge is us ed to sand accur ate angles on workpi eces .
14 A b rasive Belt R eplacement 1. Unplug t he Sander from the power source. 2. Unscre w and rem ov e t he t w o knobs on the belt cover. 3. Rem ov e t he belt cover. 4. Rotat e the tensi on handle (F igure 6) to loosen t he bel t, and remov e t he o l d be l t from around the wheel s.
15 8. Make f urther adjustm ent s as needed. 9. Ti ghten the hex nut to secure t he s etti ng. A b rasive Di sc Replacemen t 1. Unplug t he sander from t he power sourc e.
16 Operation Thi s s ander i s int ended for dry sanding of meta ls. D o not use lu brica nt s . Do not s and or p olish magn esium; it may creat e a fire hazard . Also, do not san d very small or very thin wo rkpi eces that cannot be safel y co ntrolled.
