6 1. Install two (2) AA batteries. If you’ re using rechargeable batteries, they must be char ged before using. See battery information on page 13. 2. Plug the microphone cord into the “Mic” jack on top of the transmitter . 3. Place the transmitter in the belt clip case provided.
7 C HANGING THE PFM T32 F REQUENCY F IG . 5: PFM T32 F REQUENCY C HANGE By default, the T32’ s frequency is to set 72.9 MHz (Channel E). If you e xperience FM interference, or if you need to match a recei ver’ s frequency , it may be necessary to adjust the frequency on the T32.
Gain Control Adjustment If necessary , the microphone gain control on the T32 can be increased or decreased to meet the demands of specific listening applications. Instructions: 1. Open the battery compartment using a coin in the slot in the bottom of the transmitter .
9 U SING THE PFM R32 R ECEIVER (PFM 300 & PFM 300E RCH): Recei ver model PFM R32 has a single volume control and an earphone output jack. 1. Make sure there are two char ged AA batteries in the Recei ver . If batteries are not installed, see Battery Information on page 13.
10 U SING T HE PFM R31 R ECEIVER (PFM 350 & PFM 350E RCH): Recei ver model PFM R31 has two v olume control knobs (one for the FM signal, one for en vironmental sounds), a microphone input jack, and an earphone output jack. 1. Make sure there are two char ged AA batteries in the Recei ver .
11 Notes: The earphone cord is the recei ving antenna. Do not bunch up the cord or wrap it around the recei ver . F or best reception, the cord should hang as straight as possible. Make sure the Recei ver is turned OFF when not in use. The channel selector can be used to switch between an indi vidual and a group channel.
12 T UNING THE PFM R32 & R31 R ECEIVERS T uning for the R32 and R31 Recei vers is determined by tuning coils, and is stabilized by phase- locked-loop circuitry . A plastic tuning wrench (PL T 005) is needed to adjust the recei ver tuning coil. 1. Use the T ransmitter as a tuning signal source.
13 I NST ALLA TION Open the battery compartment using a coin in the slot in the bottom of the recei ver or transmit- ter . Press the batteries into place, observing proper battery polarity .

15 U SING Y OUR P ERSONAL FM S YSTEM WITH A H EARING A ID If you hav e a hearing aid equipped with a T elecoil (T -Switch), you can use a Neckloop (NKL 003–children’ s size, or NKL 001–adult’ s size) to magnetically couple the signal from the PFM Recei ver into your hearing aid.

Read thr ough the manual and user guide car efull y to v er ify proper setup and installa tion of your system . 2. Make sure the batteries are fresh or completely char ged and that the “plus” and “minus” termi- nals are installed correctly .
