5 ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS Before you move your upri ght freezer into its fi nal loc ation, it is important to make sure you h av e the proper electrical connection: A standard elect rical supply (115V, 60Hz , 10A), properly groun ded in accordance with the National Elect rical Code and local codes and ordina nces, is required.
6 INSTALLATION Remove packaging materials IMPORTANT: Do not remove any permanent inst ruction labels or the data label on your upright freezer Remove tape and glue f rom your upright freezer before us i ng To remove any remaining t ape or glue, rub the area brisk ly with your thumb.

9 OPERATION To obtain the best possi ble results for your uprig ht freezer, it is import a nt that you operate it properly. Temperature Control The temperature in t he upright freezer is c ontroll ed by the thermostat c ontrol knob. The thermost at control box is loc ated in the compressor compartment at the back of the unit.
10 CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE Defrosting Note: To avoid damaging the freezing compartment wa ll, never use a sharp or metallic instrument to scrape off frost or separate t he frozen food. Moisture contained in food and air ma y form a layer of frost ins ide the unit after a period of use.
11 PROLONGED OFF PERIODS If the upright freezer is not t o be used for a lo ng period of time, please disconnect unit from main power supply. Clean and dry the inside as instruct ed. Leave the door open t o preve nt any mold and mildew growth. USAGE TIPS: Keep the upright f reezer’s door closed as much as possible.
