COMFOR T -SET III This White-Rodgers Digital Thermostat uses microcomputer technology to provide precise temperature control. This thermostat of fers the flexibility to design heating and cooling Occupied and Unoccupied setpoints that fit your requirements.
2 AVERTISSEMENT ! ATTENTION ! ATENCIÓN ! ADVERTENCIA ! T o prevent electrical shock and/or equip- ment damage, disconnect electric power to system at main fuse or cir cuit breaker box until installation is complete. Do not short out terminals on gas valve or primary contr ol to test.
3 Remove the front cover of the old thermostat. W ith wires still attached, remove wall plate from the wall. Identify each wire attached to the thermo- stat using one of the labels enclosed with the new thermostat. Disconnect the wires from the old thermostat one at a time.
4 All wiring diagrams are for typical systems only . Refer to equipment manufacturers’ instructions for specific system wiring information. 7 Before turning power on to the system, the jumpers on the back of the thermostat must be configured to operate correctly with the system equipment. This thermostat is configured from the factory to operate a standard fossil fuel (gas, oil, etc.), forced hot air system with a single stage air conditioning compressor and fan.
8 The display will change to show the first option on the configuration menu. The chart on page 9 briefly describes each option on the menu. Following are more detailed descriptions of the options recom- mended for selection by the installer . For more detailed descriptions of other options, refer to the Operating Instructions.

HEA TING SYSTEM 1. Press SYSTEM until HEA T is displayed. If the heating system has a standing pilot, ensure that it is lit. 2. Press to adjust thermostat setting above room temperature. The heating system should begin to operate. 3. Press to adjust temperature below room temperature.
