Remove Old Thermostat Bef ore removing wires from old thermostat, mar k wires f or terminal identification so the proper connections will be made to the new thermostat. Installing New Thermostat 1. Pull the thermostat body off the ther mostat base. F orcing or pr ying on the thermostat will cause damage to the unit.
