7 4 Kno w Y our Snow Thr ower Choke Lever Acti vating choke cont rol clo ses the c hoke plate on carburetor an d aids in s tar ting en gine. Refer to the engi ne manual pac ked with unit for m ore detail ed instru cti ons. Primer Depres sing prim er forces fuel d irect ly into engine’s carburetor to aid in c old -weather star ting .

9 Operating Tips 1 . Dis charg e snow downwind w henever possib le. Slight ly overlap each previo usly cl eared path. 2. Lif ting up o n the hand le will al low the ru bber on th e augers to pro pel the s now thrower for ward. Pushing downward on the ha ndle wi ll raise th e augers of f the ground an d stop for ward motio n.
10 W ARN I NG : D isco nnec t the s park plug wire an d ground i t agains t the e ngine to prevent unin tend ed st ar ting. W ARN I NG : N EVE R at tempt to m ake any adjust ment s while t he engi ne is running , except whe re sp ecifi ed in th e ope rator ’ s manu al.
11 Before servicing, repairing, or in spect- ing, disengage the control bail an d stop engine. W ait until all mo ving parts have come to a complete stop. Disc onnect spark plug w ire and ground it a gainst the engine to pre vent unin tended star ting.
12 4. Remove the spark p lug and pour o ne (1 ) ounc e of engine o il throug h the spar k plug hol e into the cylind er . Cover spark p lug hole wi th a rag and cr ank the eng ine several times to di stribu te the oil. Rep lace spark pl ug.
