B efore us ing your d ishwasher fo r the f irst t i me: T he water softe ner must be s et manual ly, u sing the w ater hardne ss dial. T he water softe ner is desig ned to remov e m inera ls and salts fro m the wat er, which would have a detr ime nt al o r adv erse effect on the operat ion of the applian ce.
It is no rmal for a smal l am oun t of w at er t o come ou t of the sal t container . 1. The sal t con t ainer m ust only be refilled when the sa lt w arning light in th e control pan el comes on . Depending on how well the salt dissolves, the salt warning l ight may still b e on eve n though the sal t c o nt ai n er i s fill ed.
6 To open t he dispenser , turn the ca p t o th e "open" ( left) arrow and li ft it out . Pour the rinse aid int o the di spenser, being careful not to o verfill. Re place the cap by insert ing it aligne d with "op en" arrow and turni ng it to t he closed (r ight) arr ow.
