WHISTLER FEA TURES Whistler’ s ergonomic and user -friendly design provides a new level of operating convenience. Special features include: 1 . Bracket Release Button – p rovides quick and easy release of the mounting bracket. 2. Speaker – provides distinct audio warnings f or X, K, Ka band radar , safety radar , laser and VG-2.

City/City 1/City 2 Mode Whistler’ s Three Stage City Mode is designed to r edu ce the annoyance of automatic door o p e n e r s , in t ru si on alarms and other devices which s h a r e f r e q u e n c ie s wit h p ol ice radar . Generally , X b and is used for these devices.
Filter Mode (N/A on XTR-500/550/555) There are times when a radar detector in another v ehicle, can unintentionally emit a frequency w hich can cause your detector to falsely alarm. The Whistler Filter Mode options provide a dditional signal processing to minimize the occurrences of these false alarms.
Stay Aler t Feature The Stay Alert Feature is designed to test a driver’ s alertness. T o engage (when the unit is not alarming) : X X T T R R - - 4 4 7 7 5 5 • Press and hold the City button for less then 2 seconds. A compass heading icon will flash indicating Stay Alert is activated.

POP™ Mode POP ™ Mode is a featur e on some newer radar guns operating on K and Ka bands. When the gun is in POP ™ Mode and activated, a brief burst of ener gy , less that 1/15 of a second, is transmitted and the vehicle’ s speed is quickly acquired.
