City/City 1/City 2 Mode W histler’ s Three Stage City Mode is designed to r edu ce the annoyance of automatic door openers, i nt ru si on alarms and other devices which share frequencies w it h p oli ce radar . Generally , X band is used for these devices.
Filter Mode There are times when a radar detector in another v ehicle, can unintentionally emit a frequency which can cause your detector to falsely alarm. The Whistler Filter Mode options provide a dditional signal processing to minimize the occurrences of these false alarms.
OPERA TION Aler t Priority W hen two or more signals are r eceived at the s ame time, the alert priority is: 1 . Laser 2. Speed Radar 3 . Safety Radar Example: If X band is alerting, then suddenly a l aser signal is detected, the laser warning will o verride the X band alert.
POP ™ Mode Alerts B ecause POP ™ M ode radar utilizes the same K or Ka band frequencies, POP ™ Mode Alerts will be displayed as regular radar alerts. LASER/RADAR ALERTS Speed Radar Audio/Visual Alerts When X, K or Ka is detected, the band ID and s ignal strength ar e displayed.
POP™ Mode POP ™ Mode is a featur e on some newer radar guns operating on K and Ka bands. When the gun is in POP ™ Mode and activated, a brief burst of ener gy , less that 1/15 of a second, is transmitted and the vehicle’ s speed is quickly acquired.
