Mounting Guidelines • Mount the unit as low as possible near the c enter of the windshield. • Do not mount your unit behind wipers, ornaments, mirrored sunscr eens, etc. These o bstructions have metal surfaces which can a ffect radar and laser signals and reduce c ritical warning time.
OPERA TION 8 Auto Quiet Mode Auto Quiet reduces the selected audio level to l evel (1) approximately 5 seconds after a radar or safety radar signal is detected. The alert for any new signal within 20 seconds will resume at level ( 1). Auto Quiet does not affect laser alerts.
Safety W arning System ™ In communities where transmitters are located, the Safety W arning System ™ displays over 60 t ext messages. When Safety Radar is detected a unique audio alert is sounded and displays a to indicate an SWS ™ message h as been received.
POP ™ Mode Aler ts B ecause POP ™ M ode radar utilizes the same K or Ka band frequencies, POP ™ M ode Alerts will be displayed as regular radar alerts. LASER/RADAR ALERTS Speed Radar Audio/Visual Alerts When X, K or Ka is detected, the band ID and signal str e ngth ar e displayed.
