OPERA TION Power On And Self-T est Each time your Whistler detector is tur ned on, an auto - matic self-test sequence confirms that the speaker and visual displays ar e functional.

Speed Radar Audio/Visual Alerts When X, K or Ka is detected the band ID and signal str ength is displayed. The audio alert is continuous and has a geiger counter -like pattern.
