P age 11 C utting the Hole for the WhisperK OOL Unit T ools Needed Sizing the Unit to the Room Using a level and a pencil , mark a hor izontal line on the wall between the two studs, appr oximately 1.25” (or as close as possible if more than 1.25”) from the ceiling.
P age 12 PT -EXPL 072010 Sheetrock alone cannot support the weight of a 65 lb . (or more) cooling syst em. Therefore , it is necessar y to frame the hole that you ha ve just cut with upper and lower supports.
P age 13 Electric al Needs The WhisperKOOL Extreme S ystem requires a dedicat ed 115-volt 15-amp circuit. The unit dra ws a large amount of amps at initial start up. By designating a dedicated cir cuit breaker , you will guaran tee the unit has enough power t o run eectively .
P age 14 PT -EXPL 072010 Mounting Flange P ieces There ar e four individual pieces located in Kit 2 of your enclosed acc essor y k its. These ange pieces ar e de - signed to be used on the backside of the Extreme Series to mount to the exterior wall.
P age 15 Placement of Unit Slide the unit from either the inside or outside wall int o your wine cellar with the outer ange ush to the wall. Y ou will need to reverse the moun ting ange depending on inside or outside use. Secure the ange to the wall through the pre- drilled holes.
P age 16 PT -EXPL 072010 Condensa tion Drain Line T ube The condensation drain line tube is used t o remove ex cess condensation from the unit to a pr oper discharge location. It is impor tant that the drain line tube is properly connected and used to pr event leakage and other problems associated with e xcess condensation.
P age 17 Exterior Grille Installation The exterior grille is required on all installa tions where the condenser side of the unit is exposed to the outside of the dwelling (i.e. r ain and weather). The condenser grille must be r emoved. Loca te the screws at the bottom of the grille and r emove.
P age 18 PT -EXPL 072010 DUC TED INST ALLA TION Use duct work to connect the unit to the supply and return outlets in the wine cellar . Use only insulated duct work to minimize c ooling losses, prevent sw eating, and reduce noise .
P age 19 STEP 1: Remove the grill fr om the unit by unscrewing the screw s that hold it in place. STEP 2: Move the duct plenum into place STEP 3: Screw the plenum into place using the same screws that held the g rill in place. DUC TED INST ALLA TION c ont.

P age 27 C ONTROL P ANEL FEA TURES AND OPER A TION Button Normal F unc tions ON/OFF • The ON/OFF button allow s the customer the convenienc e of tur ning the refrigeration sy stem ON or OFF , from the control panel. This feature does not disconnect pow er from the unit, and the condenser fan will continue to run in the OFF position.

The ER button is located a t the top L/H side of the control. The ER f eature is activated by press- ing the ER button one time, and the ER logo will appear on the dig ital display .
