4 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Unpacki ng 1. Empty the micr owave oven of any packing materials . 2. Clean the inside with a soft, damp cloth. 3. Check for damage, such as: ■ a door that is not lined up correctly ■ damage around the door , or ■ dents on the interior or exte rior of the microwave oven.
5 Electrical Requireme nts Observe all governi ng codes and ordinances. Required: ■ A 120 V olt, 60 Hz, AC only , 15- or 20-amp electrical supply with a fuse or circuit breaker . Recommended: ■ A time-delay fuse or time-delay circuit breaker . ■ A separate circuit s erving only this microwave oven.
6 MICROW A VE OVEN CONTROL Display When power is first supplied to the microwave oven, “:” will appear in the display . If the “:” a ppears in the disp la y at any other time, a power failure has occurred.
7 Clock This is a standard 12-hour clock (12:00-11:59). To S e t : The microwave oven must be of f. 1. T ouch and hold CLOCK (TIMER/CLOCK) pad for 3 seconds to enter Clock mode. The “hour” digit will flash. 2. T ouch [+] or [–] pad repeatedly until the desired hour is displayed (1 to 12).
8 MICROWAVE OVEN USE A magnetron in the microwave oven pr oduces microwaves which reflect of f the metal floor , walls and ceilin g and pass through the turntable and appr opriate cookware to the food.
9 Cookwar e and Dinn erware Cookware and dinnerware must fit on the turntable. Always use oven mitts or pot hold ers when handling because any dish may become hot fr om heat transferr ed from the food. Do not use cookware and dinnerware with gold or silver trim.
10 Manual Cook ing Cook time may be set in the follo wing incr ements, in minutes and seconds: To U s e : 1. Place food on the turntable and close the door . 2. T ouch the [+] or [–] pad. The default time of 5 seconds will show in the display . T ouch the [+ ] or [–] pad r epeatedly to set the desired time.
11 Reheat The microw ave oven’ s Reheat featur e can be used or the microwave oven can be manually set to reheat. Reheat time may be set in the following increments, in minutes and seconds: T o Use Reheat: 1. Place food on the tu rntable, and close the door .
12 MICROWAVE OVEN CARE General Cleaning IMPORT ANT : Before cleaning, make sure all controls are of f and the microwave oven is cool. Always follow label instructions on cleaning products. Soap, water and a soft cloth or sponge are suggested unless otherwise noted.
