5 COOKTOP USE Electric igniters automa tically light the surface burners when contr ol knobs are turned to IGNITE. Befor e setting a contr o l knob, place filled co okware on the grate. Do not operate a bur ner using empty cookwar e or without cookwar e on the grate.
6 T o C lean: IMPOR T ANT : Before cleanin g, make su re all c ontrols are o ff an d the oven and cooktop are cool . Do not use oven cleaners, bleach or ru st removers . 1. Remove the bur ner ca p fro m the burner ba se and clean according to “General C leaning” section.
7 For best r esult s, the cookware should be cen tered abo ve the burner with the bottom sitting level on th e grate. The flame should be adjusted so that it does n ot extend up the sides of th e pan. Home C annin g When canning f or long periods, alternate the use of sur face burners between batches.
8 Sabbath Mode The Sabbath Mode sets the oven to r em ain on in a Bake setting until tur ned o f f. A Tim ed Bake can also be set to keep the o ven on for only part of the Sabbath. The Oven Control Lockout Featur e (if present) will be dis abled during the Sabbath Mode.
9 P ositioning Racks and Bakeware IMPOR T ANT : T o avoid permanent damage to the porcelain finish, do not place food or bakewar e di r ectly on the oven door or bottom . Bakeware T o cook food evenly , hot air must be able to circulate . Allow 2" (5 cm) of space around bakewar e and oven walls.
10 Cook T ime T o Set a Tim ed Cook: 1. Press BAKE. The bak e indicator ligh t will light up. 2. Press the TEM P/TIME “u p” or “ down” ar row pads to e nter a temperature other than the one displayed. 3. Pre ss COOK TIME. The co ok ti me oven indicat or li ght will light up.
