3 INST ALLA TION REQUIREMENTS T ools and Parts Gather the required t ools and parts before st arting installa tion. Read and follow the instru ctions provided with any tools listed here. T ools needed Parts supplied Check that all parts ar e included.
4 Mobile Home - Additional Inst allation Requireme nts The installa tion of this range must con form to the Manufactured Home Constructio n and Safety Stan dar d, Title 24 CFR, Part 3280 (formerly the Federal Standard fo r Mobile Home Construction and Safety , Title 24, HUD Part 280).
5 Electri cal Requirements IMPORT ANT : The range must be el ectrically grounded in accordance w ith local codes and ordinances, or in the absence of local codes, with the National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFP A 70 or Canadian Electrical Code, CSA C22.1.
6 Gas Supply Line ■ Provide a gas supply line of ¾" (1.9 cm) rigid pipe to the range location. A smaller size pipe on longer runs may result in insufficient gas supply . With LP gas, piping or tu bing size can be ½" (1.3 cm) minimum. Usuall y , LP gas suppl iers determine the size and material s used in the system.
7 INSTALLATION INSTR UCTIONS Unpack Range 1. Remove shipping ma terials, tape and film from range. 2. Remove oven racks and parts package from inside oven. 3. Do not remove the shipping base at this time. 4. On Ranges Equipped with a Storage Drawer: Remove the storage dra wer .
8 Floor Mounting W all Mounting 5. Using the Ph illips scr e wdriver , mount anti-tip bracket to the wall or floor with the two #12 x 1 ⁵⁄₈ " screws provided. 6. Move range close enough to open ing to allow for final gas an d electrical connections.
9 3. Use a ¹⁵⁄₁₆ " combination wrench and channel lock pliers to attach the flexible connector to th e adapters. Check tha t connector is not kinked. Complete Connec tion 1. Check that th e gas pressur e r egu lator shutoff valve is in the “on” position.
10 IMPORT ANT : If there is a snapping or popping sound when lifting the range, the range may not be fully engaged in the bracket. Check to see if ther e are obstructions keeping the ra nge from sliding to the wall or keeping the range foot from sliding into the bracket.
11 If the “low” flame needs to be adjusted: 1. Light 1 bur ner and turn to lowest settin g. 2. Remove the control knob. Hold the knob stem wi th a pair of pliers. Use a small flat-blade screwdriver to turn the scr ew located in the center of th e control knob stem until the flame is the proper size.
12 If flame needs to be adjusted: 1. Loosen the lock scr ew on the air shutter located at the r ear of the broil burner . 2. Adjust the air shutte r as needed.
13 T o Replace: 1. Lift up the fr ont of the draw er and place the r ear of the drawer inside the rang e so that the dra wer stop notch is behind the drawer glide. 2. Lower the drawer so tha t the edge of the slide rail drops into the slot in the drawer glide.
14 GAS CON V ER SIONS Gas conversions from Natural gas to LP gas or fr om LP gas to Natural gas must be done by a qualified installer . LP Gas Con v ersion 1. T ur n the manual shutof f valv e to the closed position. 2. Unplug range or disconnect power .
15 3. Remove plastic cover from gas pr essure r egulator cap. 4. T ur n ga s pressur e regulator cap counter clockwise with a ⁵⁄₈ " combination wrenc h to remove.
16 T o Convert Oven Bake Burner (Natural Gas to LP Gas) 1. Remove the oven ra cks. 2. Remove 2 scr ews at the rear of the oven bottom. 3. Lift the re ar of the oven bottom up and back until the front of the panel is away fr om the fron t frame. Remove fr om oven and set it aside on a covered surf ace.
17 4. Replace the “53” hood with a “090 ” hood. Install the LP gas broiler burner orif ice hood, turning it clockwise until snug. IMPORT ANT : Do not overti ghten. 5. Place the broil burner on the broil burner orifice hood and insert the broil burner ceramic igniter in the h ole in the rear of the oven.
18 4. T ur n gas pr essure re gulator cap counter clockwise with a ⁵⁄₈ " combination wrench to r emove. NOTE: Do not remove the spring beneath the cap.
19 4. Remove 2 screws fr om the front tabs of the flame spread er . Lift front of the f lame spre ader and pull forwar d to r emove tabs from r ear of oven and set it aside on a cover ed surface. 5. Remove 2 screws fr om the bake burner . 6. Slide the fr ont of the bake burner to the side to remove tab from front of oven.
5. Place the broil burner on the broil burner orifice hood and insert the broil burner ceramic igniter in the h ole in the rear of the oven. 6. Position the broil burner against the top of the oven an d attach it with 2 screws. 7. Replace storage drawer , warming drawer or premium storage drawer .
