5 Electr ical Requirements If codes per mit and a separate ground w ire is used, it is reco mmended that a qu alified elect rical installer determine that the gr ound path and wire gauge are in a ccordan ce with local codes. Do not use an extension cord.
6 INSTALLATION INSTR UCTIONS Unpack Range 1. Remove shipping ma terials, tape and film from the ra nge. Keep car dboard bo ttom under range. 2. Remove oven racks and parts package fr om inside oven. 3. T o place range on its back, take 4 cardboar d corners fro m the carton.
7 Instal l Anti -Tip Br ac k et 1. Remove the anti-tip br acket that is taped insi de the upper oven with the package containing literature. 2. Determin e which mounting me thod to use: floor or wall. If you have a st one or masonry floor you can use the wall moun ting method.
8 Electr ical Connection - U.S.A. Only Power Supp ly Cord Di re ct Wi re 1. Disconnect power . 2. Use Phillips screwdriver to remo ve the terminal block cover screw lo cated on the back o f the range. Pull cover down and toward you to remove cover . 3.
9 Style 2: Direct wire strai n relief ■ Use Phillips screwdriver to remove scr ews and slide cor d/conduit plate down and out. ■ Position cor d/conduit plate as shown in the following illustratio n. ■ Replace cord/condu it plate and insert scr ews.

11 3-wire c onnection: Power Supply Cor d Use this method only if local codes permit connecting chassis ground co nductor to n eutral wi r e of po wer supply c ord. 1. Feed the power supply cord through the strain relief in the cor d/conduit plate on bottom of ran ge.
12 3. Pull the conduit thro ugh the strain r elief on cor d/conduit plate on bottom of range. Allow enough slac k to easily attach wiring to the terminal block.
13 3-wire c onnection: Dire ct Wire Use this method only if local codes permit connecting grou nd conductor to neutral supply wire. 1. Pull the conduit through the hole and conduit plate on bottom of range. Allow enough slack to easily attach the wiring to the terminal blo ck.
14 Le vel Range 1. Place oven rack in oven. 2. Place level on oven rack and check levelness of range, first side to side; then front to back. 3. If range is no t level, pull range forward until r ear leveling leg is rem oved from the anti-tip bracket.
15 Mo ving the Rang e When moving range, slide range onto car dboard or har dboard to avoid dam aging the floor covering. If remo ving the range is necessary for cleaning or maintenance: For power supply cord-connect ed ranges: 1. Slide range for ward.
