3 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS T ools and P arts T ools needed Gather the r equired tools and part s befor e starting installation. Read and follow the instructions provided with any tools list ed here.
4 Location Requirements Y ou will need ■ A location that allows for proper exhaust install ation. See “V enting Requirements.” ■ A separate 30-amp circuit. ■ A grounded electrical outlet located within 2 ft (610 mm) of either side of the dryer .
5 Electrical Requirements It is your re sponsibility ■ T o contact a qualified el ectrical installer . ■ T o be sur e that the electrical connection is adequ ate and in conformance with the National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFP A 70-latest edition and all local codes and ordinances.

7 ■ Put power supply cord thr ough the strain relief. Be sure that the wire insulation on the power supply cor d is inside the strain relief. The strain relie f should have a tight fit with the dryer cabinet and be in a horizontal position. Do not further tighten strain relief screws at this point.
8 2. Remov e neutral ground wire fr om external ground conductor scr ew . Connect neutral gr ound wir e and the neutral wir e (white or center wire) of power supply cord under center terminal block screw .

11 V enting Requirements W ARNING: T o r educe the risk of fir e, this dryer MUST BE EXHAUSTED OUTDOORS. IMPORT ANT : O bserve all governing codes and ordinances. The dryer exhaust mu st not be conne cted into any gas vent, chimney , wall, ceiling, attic, crawlspace , or a concealed space of a building.

13 2. C onnect vent to exhaust hood. V ent must fit inside exhaust hood. Secure vent to exhaust hood with 4" (102 mm) clamp. 3. Run vent to dryer location. Use the s traightest path poss ible. See “Determine vent path” in “Plan V ent System.

Do not dry anything that has ever had anything flammable on it (even after washing). Failure to follow these instructions can result in death, explosion, or fire.
15 C yc le a nd t em p er at ur e ti ps Dry most loads using the Energy Pr eferred Automatic Setting ( * ). Use a n o heat (air) setting for rubber , plastic, or heat-sensitive fabrics. Line-dry bonded or laminated fabrics. NOTE: If you have questions about drying temperatures for various loads, re fer to the care label directions.
16 2. Squeeze body of lin t screen lightly while pulling off the cover . 3. Roll lint off the screen with your fingers. Do not rinse or wash sc re en to re mo ve l in t. Wet l in t is ha rd to rem o ve . 4. Replace cover on lint screen body . Push the lint screen firmly back into place and close the door .
