6 Surface Burne rs IMPORT AN T : Do not obstruct the flow of combustion and ventilat ion air around the bur ner grate edge s. Burner cap: Always keep the bur ner cap in place w hen using a surface bu rner . A clean bur ner cap will help avoid poor i gnition and uneven flames.
7 Cookware IMPORT AN T : Do no t leave empty cookware on a hot surface cooking area, element or surface burne r . Ideal cookware should have a fl at bottom, strai ght sides and a well-fittin g lid, and the ma terial should be of medium-to - heavy thick ness.
