2 INST ALLA TION REQUIREMENTS To o l s a n d P a r t s Gather the required tools and parts before startin g installation. The parts supplied ar e in the washer basket.
3 Recessed a rea or closet installatio n The dimensions sh own are for the r ecommended spacing allow ed (A and B), except the closet door ventilation openings. The dimen sio ns sh own fo r th e c loset do or vent ila tion op ening s (C ) are the minimu m required.
4 ■ T o minimize possible shock hazard, the cord must be plugged into a mating, earthing-type outlet, earthed in accord ance with local codes an d ordinances. If a mating outlet is not available, it is the personal responsibility and obligation of the customer to have the properly earthed outlet installed by a qualified electrician.
5 2. Firmly grasp th e power cord and pull to completely remove the power cord, cor d r estraint, and pin from the rear panel. 3. Confirm that the power c ord r estraint (A), and pin (B) ar e rem o ve d . 4. T o remove the power cor d from the cord r estraint, push the power cord in, press T AB, and then pull the power co rd out.
6 ■ Then slide the second hose clamp onto coupling. Insert end of adapter into coupling. Use a screwdriver to install second hose clamp over coupling. T o keep dra in water from going bac k into the wash er: ■ Do not for ce exce ss drain hose into stan dpipe.
7 NOTE: Do not overtighten or use tape or sealants on the valve. Damage to th e valves can result. 5. Attach the cold water hose to the top inle t valve. 6. Screw on couplin g by hand until it is seated on the washer . 7. Using pliers, tighten th e couplings with an additional two-thi rds turn.
2. Tilt the washer forward until the rear of th e washer is at least 10.2 cm (4") off the floor . Y ou ma y hear the self-a djusting rear feet click into place. Lower the washer to the floo r . 3. Check the levelness of the washer by placing a level on the top edges of the washer , fi rst side to side, then front to back.
