4 The Anti-Tip Bracket The range will not tip during normal use. However , the range can tip if you app ly too much force or weight to th e open door wit hout havi ng th e an ti-t ip br acke t fa sten ed do wn p ro pe rly . Tip Over Hazard A child or adult can tip the range and be killed.

6 COOKTOP USE Cooktop Contr ols Electric ign iters au tomatically light the su rface bur ners when control knobs are turned t o IGNITE. Before setting a control knob, p lace filled cookw ar e on the grat e. Do not operate a bur ner using empty cookware or while the grate is unoccupi ed.
7 To C l e a n : IMPORT AN T : Before cleani ng, make sure all controls are of f and the oven and c ooktop are cool. Do not use ov en cleaners, bleach or ru st remo vers . 1. Remove the bur ner cap from the bur ner base and clean according to “ Gen eral C lea ning ” s ection.
8 ELECTR ONIC OVEN CONTROL Oven Indicator Lights The indicat or lights are located alon g all 4 sides of th e display . The indicator lights light up or flash when the oven is in one of the follo wing.
9 Tim er The Timer c an be se t in hours or minute s up to 12 hours and 59 minutes and counts down the set time . NOTE : The Timer does not start or stop the oven. To S e t : 1. Press TIMER CANCEL*. The timer oven indicator light will light up. If no action is taken after 1 minu te, the di splay wi ll re turn to the time of day mode.
10 BAKEWARE T o cook food evenly , hot a ir must be able to circulate. Allow 2" (5 cm) of space around ba keware and oven walls. Use the following chart as a guid e. Split Oven Rack (on some models) Split-Rack wit h Removab le Insert The split-rack with removable insert is a spa ce maximizer .
11 Meat Thermo meter On models wit hout a temperatu re probe, use a meat thermometer to determine donenes s of meat, poultry and fish. The inter nal tempera ture, not appearance, should be used to determine doneness. A meat therm ometer is not supplied w ith this ap pliance .
12 T o Custom Broil: 1. Press CUSTOM BROIL. 2. Press TE MP/TIME “ up ” or “ down ” ar r ow pad to ch ange the temperat ure in 5 ° F (3 ° C) amounts. The broil range can be set between 300 ° F (150 ° C) and HI (525 ° F [2 75 ° C]). 3. Press ST ART/EN TER.
13 RANGE CARE Self-Cle aning Cycle (on some m odels) IMPORT AN T : The health of some birds is extremely sensi tive to the fumes give n off during the Sel f-Cleaning cyc le. Exposure to the fume s may result in death to certain birds. Alway s move birds to another clos ed and well-venti lated room.
14 General Cleaning IMPORT AN T : Before cleani ng, make sure all controls are of f and the oven and cookt op are cool. Always follow label i nstructio ns on cle ani ng produc ts. Soap, wat er and a sof t cloth or sponge are suggested first unless otherwise noted.
15 OVEN CA VITY Do not use oven cleaners . Food spills should be cleaned when ov en cools. At high temperatures, foods react with porcelain an d stainin g, etching, pittin g or f aint wh ite s pots ca n r es ult. Cleaning Method: ■ Sel f-Cl ean ing cy cle : Se e “ Self-C leanin g Cy cle ” first.
16 3. Close the oven door as far as it will shut . 4. Lift the oven door while holding b oth sides. Continue to push the oven door closed an d pull it away from the oven door frame. T o Replace: 1. Insert both hanger arms into t he door . 2. Open the oven d oor .
