6 Rang e COOKTOP USE Cooktop Control s The control knobs can be set any wher e between HI and LO. Pus h in and turn to s etting. On some mode ls, the su rface cooking area locator shows w hich element is tur ned on. Use the followi n g chart as a guide when set t ing heat l evels.
7 Ceramic Glass (on some models) The surface cooking a r ea will glow red when an elemen t is on. It will cycl e on and off, at all sett ings, to maintain the selected hea t level . It is normal for th e surface of white ceramic glas s to appear to change color when surfa ce cooking ar eas are hot.
8 T o Replace: 1. Line up openi ngs in the bu rner bowl with th e coil element receptacle. 2. Holding the coi l element as level as pos sible, slowly push coi l element te rminal into the receptacl e. 3. When the te rminal is pushe d into the receptacle as far as i t will go, push dow n the edge of the coil elemen t opposite the receptacle.
9 ELECTR ONIC OV EN CONTROL Ov en Indicator Lights The indicat or lights are located along all 4 sid es of the display . The indicator lights light up or flash when the oven is in one of the follo win.
10 Control Loc k The Control Loc k shuts dow n the control panel p ads to prevent unintended use of the oven. When the control is l ocked, only the Clock and Timer pads will function. T o Lock/Unlock Contr ol: Before locking, make sure the oven and Timer are off.

12 Bak e w are The bakeware mat erial affects cooking r esults. Follow manufacturer’ s recommendations an d use the bakeware size recommended in the recipe. Use the followin g chart as a guide. Meat Thermometer On models wit h out a tempe rature pr obe, always r ely on a meat thermometer to determine donenes s of meat and poultry .
13 Pr eh eati ng After ST ART/ENTER is pr essed, the oven will enter a timed preheat conditi on ing. “PrE” and t h e time countdown wi ll appear on the display . When the pr eheat co n diti oning time e nds, a ton e will sound an d the selected tempe rature will appear on the displa y .
14 Timed Cooking Timed Cooking allows the oven to b e set to turn on at a certain time of day , cook for a se t length of time, and/or shut of f automatical ly . D elay start should n ot be used for foods such as breads and cakes bec ause they may not bake properl y .
15 Prepare Cooktop and Storage Drawe r: ■ Remove plast ic items from the cooktop because t hey may melt. ■ Remove all items fr om the storage drawer . 16 Light to m o derate s o il ■ Paper towels or clean damp sponge: Clean whi le the cooktop is st ill warm. Y ou may want to wear oven mitts w h ile cle aning the cooktop. Sugary s pills (jellies , candy , syrup) ■ Cooktop Scraper: Clean while the cooktop is still warm.
17 BROILER P AN AND GR ID (on some models) Do not clean in the Self-Cleani n g cycle. ■ Mildly abrasive cleanse r: Scrub with wet scour ing pad. ■ Solution of ¹₂ cup ( 125 mL) ammonia t o 1 gal. (3.75 L) wa ter: Soak for 20 minutes, th en scr ub with s couring or s teel-wool pad.
18 4. Insert the door stop clip with the angular surface a t the top of the frame hinge s lot, then push in th e bottom of the clip until flanges are flush with the front frame. 5. Open the door complet ely and remove the door r emoval pins. Save door r emova l pins for futu r e use.
