3 RANGE SAFETY The Anti-Tip Br acket The range will no t tip during normal use. However , the range can tip if you appl y too much force or weight to the open d oor wit hou t th e anti-tip bracket fastened down p roperly . You can be killed or seriously injured if you don't immediately follow instructions.

5 ■ Keep Oven V ent Ducts Unobstructed. ■ Placement of Oven Racks – Always place oven racks in desired location while oven is cool. If rack must be moved while oven is hot, do not let potholder contact hot heating element in oven.

7 COOKTOP USE Cooktop C ontrols The control knobs can be se t anywhe r e betw een HI and LO. Push in and turn to setting. The surface cooking ar ea locator shows which ele ment is tur ned on. Use the foll owing chart as a guide when se tting he at levels .
8 Hot Surface Indicator Light ( under ceramic glass) The hot surface indic ator light will glow as lon g as any surface cooking area is too hot to touch , even after the s urface cooking area(s) is tur ned off. Coil Elemen ts a nd Bur ner Bowls (on s ome models) Coil elements should be level for optimal cooking r e sults.
9 Cookware IMPORT AN T : Neve r leave empty cookware on a hot surface cooking area, element or surface burne r . Ideal cookw a r e should h a ve a flat bottom, s t raight s ides, a well- fitting lid and the material should be of medium-to-heavy thick ness.

12 Bakeware The bakeware mat erial affects cooking r esults. Follow manufacturer’ s recommendations and use t he bakeware size recommended in the recipe. Use the following ch art as a guide. Meat Thermometer On models wit hout a temperatu re probe, always rely on a meat thermometer to determine d onene ss of meat and poultr y .
13 Broili ng Broiling uses dir ect radiant heat to cook food. Changing the temperature when Cu stom Broiling allows more pr ecise cont rol when cooking. The lower th e temperature, the slower the cooking. Thicker cut s and unevenly shaped piece s of meat, fish and poultry may cook better at lower broiling te mperatures.
14 T o Set a DELA Y ST ART TIME: 1. Press BAK E. Press TEMP “up” or “down” arrow pad to set a temperatu r e other tha n 350°F (17 7°C) in 5° amounts. Th e bake ra nge can be set between 170°F a nd 500°F (77°C and 260 °C). 2. Press DEL A Y ST ART TI ME.

17 BROILER P AN AND GRID Do not clean in the Self-Cleaning cycl e. ■ Mildly abrasive cl eanser: Scrub with wet scour i ng pad. ■ Solution of ¹₂ cup ( 125 mL) ammonia t o 1 gal. ( 3.75 L) wate r: Soak for 20 minutes, th en scrub with sc ouring or stee l wool pad.
