3 RANGE SAFETY The Anti-Tip Br acket The range will no t tip during normal use. However , the range can tip if you appl y too much force or weight to the open d oor wit hou t th e anti-tip bracket fastened down p roperly . You can be killed or seriously injured if you don't immediately follow instructions.

7 COOKTOP USE Cooktop C ontrols The control knobs can be se t anywhe r e betw een HI and LO. Push in and turn to setting. The surface cooking ar ea locator shows which ele ment is tur ned on. Use the foll owing chart as a guide when se tting he at levels .
8 Coil Elemen ts a nd Bur ner Bowls (on s ome models) Coil elements should be level for optimal cooking r e sults. Burner bowls, when cl ean, reflect heat back to t he cookware. They also help cat ch s pill s. Cookwar e sh ould not exte nd mor e than 1 in.
9 Cookware IMPORT AN T : Neve r leave empty cookware on a hot surface cooking area, element or surface burne r . Ideal cookw a r e should h a ve a flat bottom, s t raight s ides, a well- fitting lid and the material should be of medium-to-heavy thick ness.
10 Ti m e r The Timer can be set in minute s and second s or hours and minutes an d counts down th e set time. The Timer d oes not start or stop the oven. To S e t : 1. Press TIME R. The colon will flas h durin g Timer programmi ng. 2. Press the “ up” or “dow n” arrow pads to s et len gth of ti me.
11 Bakeware Hot air must be able t o circulate around food to cook evenly , so allow 2 in . (5 cm) of sp ace around bakeware and ove n walls. Use the following c hart as a guide. Bakeware The bakeware mat erial affects cooking r esults. Follow manufacturer’ s recommendations and use t he bakeware size recommended in the recipe.
12 Broili ng Broiling uses dir ect radiant heat to cook food. Changing the temperature when broili ng allows more precise control. The lower the tempera ture, the slower the cooking. Thi cker cuts and unevenly shaped pieces of meat, fish and pou ltry may cook better at low er broiling temperatures.

16 Oven Door For normal range use, it is not suggested to remove the oven door . How ever , if neces sary , follow these inst ructions. The oven door is heavy . Before Removing : 1. Use a putty knif e or screwdriver and in sert it at th e bottom corner of th e door stop clip.
