BENQ Corporation -5- 2-4 Hardware Installation Connect the Ethernet Cable The 11Mbps Wireless LAN Access Point s upports 10/100M Ethernet connection. Attach your UTP Ethernet cable to the RJ-45 connector on the Access Point. Then connect the other end of the RJ-45 ca ble to a hub or a station.
BENQ Corporation -6- Chapter 3 Configuring the Access Point The 11Mbps Wir eless LAN Access P o int is shi pped with default parameters, which will be suitable for the typical infrastructur e wireless LAN . Just simply install the Access P oint, power it on, and it is now r eady to w ork.

Y ou ma y either give a fix ed IP addr ess to y our Wir eless Access P o int, or choose DHCP client with the Enable DHCP item selected.

BENQ Corporation -13- Advanced Setting Security Setup T o pr ev ent unauthorized wireless stations fr om accessing data transmitted ov er the netw ork, the 11Mbps Wir eless LAN Access P oint offers WEP (Wir ed Equivalency Privacy). Y ou can set up 4 encr yption k eys to encrypt your data.
