ImDortant Safbtv Instructions To reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock, injury to persons, or damage when using the oven, follow basic precautions, including the following: General l Read all instructions before using the oven. l Install or locate the oven only in accordance with the pro- vided Installation Instructions.
l Do not heat unopened containers. They could explode. The hot con- tents could cause burns and con- tainer particles could cause injury. l Do not store flammable materials on or near the oven. The fumes can create an explosion and/or fire hazard. When using the oven @Always position oven rack(s) in desired location while oven is cool.

For best air circulation Hot air must circulate around the pans in the oven for even heat to reach all parts of the oven. This resutts in better baking. l Place the pans so that one is not directly over the other. l For best results, allow 1% to 2 inches (4-5 cm) of space around each pan and between pans and oven wails.
Setting the clock Push in and turn the Minute Timer Knob to set the clock. 1. Push in Minute Timer Knob and turn clockwise until clock shows the correct time of day. 2. Let the Minute Timer Knob pop out. Turn clockwise until Minute Timer hand points to OFF.
Baking/roasting 1. Position the rack(s) properly before turning on the oven. To change rack Position, lift rack at front and pull out. For further information, see “Positioning racks and pans” on page 6. 2. Set the Oven Selector to BAKE. 3. Set the Oven Temperature Control Knob to the baking/roasting temperature you want.
Adjusting the oven temperature control Oven temperature controls will gradually shift after years of use. So, even though your new oven is properly adjusted to provide accurate temperatures, il may cook faster or slower than your oki oven.
Broiling 1. 2. 3. 4. Position the rack properly before turning on the oven. The oven rack should be positioned so that the surface of the food is at least 3 inches (7.4 cm) away from the broil element. See “Broiling rack position chart” on page 12.
Custom broil l if food is cooking too fast, turn the Oven Temperature Control Knob counterciock- wise until the OVEN ON indicator Light goes off. l If you want the food to broil slower from the start, set the Oven Temperature Control Knob between 170°F and 325°F (77°C and 163°C).
Broiling tips l Use the broiler pan and grid for broiling. They are designed to drain excess liquid and grease away from the cooking surface to help prevent spatter, smoke or fire. l After broiling, remove the broiler pan from the oven when you remove the food.
Using the MEALTIMER” clock The MEALTIMER clock is designed to turn the oven on and off at times you set, even when you are not around. Delayed time baking/roasting is ideal for foods which do not require a preheated oven, such as meats and casseroles.
To start baking/roasting now and stop automatically: 1. Position the oven rack(s) properly and place the food in the oven. 2. Push in and turn the Stop Time Knob clockwise to the time you want the oven to shut off. Make sure the Start Time Knob is not pushed in.

To replace: 1. Fit the door hinges into corner slots on the oven frame. 2. Push the hinges straight in while lifting the door slightly. 3. When hinges snap into place, open the door and rotate the Broil Stop clips to uncover the door hinge slots. Close the door.
The continuous-cleaning oven (mod& RB220PXY and RB120PXY) Standard-cleaning oven walls are coated with smooth porcelain. Your continuous-cleaning oven walls are coated with a special, rougher porcelain. A fat spatter beads up on the smooth surface, but spreads out on the rougher surface.
Cleaning tips 1. The oven window and racks are not coated. Clean them by hand. 2. The oven door does not get as hot as the walls. Some hand-cleaning may be needed. 3. If you do more broiling than baking, hand- cleaning may be needed. 4. Use aluminum foil on the oven bottom according to instructions.

The oven light The oven light will come on when you use the oven light switch on the control panel. Model RB220PXY: The light will also come on when you open the oven door. Electrical Shock and Personal Injury Hazard l Make sure oven and light bulb are cool and power to the oven has been turned OFF before replacing the light bulb.
