IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS Microwave ovens have been used successfully in homes for a number of years. They are thoroughly tested for safe operation when used properly.
Using your microwave Microwave oven controls There are three ports in the control section -The Digital Display/Clock, and Indicator Lights -Command Pads - Number Pads These will be covered on the following pages. Read them carefully. oven When you first plug in the oven, a tone sounds and the Display will be blank.
Setting the clock When the oven is first plugged in, the Display will be blank. If the electric power ever goes off, the Display will also be blank when the power comes back on. You can cook without setting the clock, but the Display will show a colon for 5 minutes after the cooking is done, then go blank.
Important things to remember to get the best cooking results. l ALWAYS cook food for the minimum recommended cooking time If necessary, add time In one or two minute periods, then check for doneness t.
Defrosting and cooking at lower cook powers For best results, some recipes call for lower Cook Powers. The lower the Cook Power, the slower the cooking. Each Number Pad on your microwave oven stands for a different percentage of Cook Power (IO%, 50%, 80%, etc.
6. Touch START. d count own The COOK 1 Indicator Light will stay on to show that the oven is cooking. The Cook Power Indicator Light will go off. The oven will cook in the Cook Power you selected. The Display counts down the time to show how much cooking time IS left.
The COOK 1 Indicator Light will come on and the Display will show a colon. 2. Touch COOK 16 2 once. The Display will show the numbers you touched in the order you touched them. This example shows 3. Touch Number Pads for the cooking time you want 3 minutes, 25 seconds.
9. Touch a Number Pad for the Cook Power you want in the second cycle. 10. Touch START. d count own d count own BEEP BEEP BEEP The Display will show what you touched. This example shows 70% of full power. When you touch START, both COOK I& 2 Indicator Lights come on to show you that the oven is cooking in the first of two Cook Cycles.
Cooking with the TEMPERATURE PROBE followed by KEEP WARM The Temperature Probe helps take the guesswork out of cooking roasts and casseroles. The probe is designed to turn off the oven when it senses the temperature you set. See page15 for helpful information on cooking differenttypes of food.

Temperature probe cooking chart Using the internal temperature of food is an accurate method of knowing when the food is cooked the way you want it. Remember that food cooked in a microwave oven will continue to cook during the standing time. Food temperature will rise 5 tolO” during the standing time.
Minute timer The microwave oven controls can be used as a kitchen timer. Use COOK1 at “0” Cook Power for timing up to 99 minutes, 99 seconds. DO THIS... .., : . . q 1. Touch COOK 16 2 once. 2. Touch Number Pads for the minutes and seconds you want.
Delayed start The microwave oven can be set to start automatically at a later time. Use COOK 1 Cycle at “0” Cook Power to delay the start of COOK 2 Cycle for up to 99 minutes, 99 seconds. DO THIS... THIS HAPPENS... 1. Put in food and close the door.
