Using your microwave Microwave oven controls There are three parts In the control section -The Digital Display/Clock, and Indicator Lights -Command Pads -Number Pads These will be covered on the followlng pages Read them carefully oven When you first plug in the oven, a tone sounds and the Display will be blank.
Setting the clock When the oven IS frrst plugged In, the Display WIII be blank. If the electric power ever goes off the Display will also be blank when the power comes back on. You can cook without setting the clock, but the Display WIII show a colon for 5 minutes after the cookrng IS done, then go blank DO THIS.
Important things to remember to get the best cooking results. ALWAYS cook food for the mrnrmum recommended cooking time. If necessary, add time In one or two minute periods, then check for doneness to.
Defrosting and cooking at lower cook powers For best results, some recipes call for lower Cook Powers. The lower the Cook Power, the slower the cooking. Each Number Pad on your microwave oven stands for a different percentage of Cook Power (10% 50%, 80% etc.
6. Touch START. d count own Changing cook powers The COOK 1 Indicator Light will stay on to show that the oven is cooking. The Cook Power Indicator Light will go off The oven will cook in the Cook Power YOU selected. The Display counts down the time to show how much cooking time is left The Cook Power can be checked by touching the COOK POWER Pad.
