6 MICR O W A VE O VEN CONTR OL Display When power is first supplie d to the microwave oven, a “:” will blink on the display . T ouch OFF/CANCEL to stop the blinking. If the “:” blinks on the display at an y other time, a power failu re has occu rred.

8 Food Character istics When microwave cooking, the amount, s ize and shape, start ing temperature, composi tion and density of the food affect cooking results. Amoun t of Food The more food heated at once, the longe r the cook time. Check for doneness and add small increments of time if ne cessary .
9 Aluminum Fo il and Metal Always use oven m itts or pot holde rs wh en remov ing dis hes from the microwave oven. Aluminu m foil and some metal can be used in the oven. If not used properly , arcing (a blue flash of light) can occu r and cause damage to the oven .
