6 To T u r n O f f : The tur ntable can be turned off (except during an au to function ). This is helpfu l when cooking wit h plates that a re lar ger th an the turn table or when cookin g with two 10 in . (25 cm) plates that are side-by- side. 1. T ouch TURNT ABLE ON /OFF .
7 Progress Bar The progress bar is a visual pi cture of the estimate d running time of a cooking cycle . It will app ear during all cook cy cles exce pt W arm Hold. The lines in each of the segments will ligh t from left to right as th e time nears the e nd.
8 Ti m e r The Timer can be set in minute s and seco nds, up to 99 minutes 99 seconds and cou nts down the set time. The Timer does not start or stop the microwave oven. When the Timer is in use , the microwave oven can also operate. T o see the t ime countd own for five seconds wh en the microwave oven is i n use, to uch TIMER SET/ OFF .
9 F ood Characterist ics When microwave cooking, the amount, s ize and shape, start ing temperature, composi tion and density of the food affect cooking results. Amoun t of Fo od The more food heated at once the longer the cook ti me. Check for doneness and add small increments of time if ne cessary .

14 Melt The microwave oven uses low power to melt cert ain foods. The foods may n ot be comp letely mel ted when t he program ends, but stirring the food wil l complete the melti ng. 16 Replacing F ilters The grease filters should be removed and cleaned at least once a month. The charcoal filter cannot be washed and sh ould be replaced every si x to twelve months. Do not opera te the microwave oven without the filters in p lace. See “ Assist ance or Serv ice ” to reorder filters.
