6 T urn ing Of f the T urntable The tur ntable can be turned off (except during an au to function ). This is helpfu l when cooking wit h plates that a re lar ger th an the turntable or when cooking with two 10¼ in . (26 cm) plates that are side-by-si de.
7 Progress Bar The progress bar is a visual pi cture of the estimate d running time of a cooking cycle. It will appear during Cook, JET DE FROST™ featur e, Reheat and Sensor One T ouch f uncti ons. The lines in each of th e segments wil l light from left to right as t he time nears the end.
8 Ti m e r The Timer can be set in minute s and seco nds, up to 99 minutes 99 seconds and cou nts down the set time. The Timer does not start or stop the microwave oven. When the Timer is in use , the microwave oven can also operate. T o see th e countdown f or 5 seconds when t he microwave oven is in use, t ouch TIMER SET .
9 Starting T emperature Room temperature foods will heat faster than refrigerated food s and refrigerate d foods will heat fast er than frozen foods. Composition and Density Foods high in fat and sugar will r each a higher temperatur e and heat fast er than other foods .
10 Cooking P ower Many recipes for micr owave cooking specify wh ich cooking power to us e by per cent, name or number . For example , 70%=7=Medium -High. Use the follow ing chart as a general guide for the suggested cooking power of specific foods. Cooking To U s e : 1.
