8 4. Repeat st eps 1-3 for the undersi de of the top of th e cabinet. W all V enting T o make a 3½ " x 10½" (8.9 c m x 26.7 cm) rectangle in the wall: 1. Make 2 l i nes b y meas uring ³⁄₈ " (0.9 cm) and 3 ⁷⁄₈ " (9.8 cm) down from underside of cabi net and mark on the centerl ine on the ba ck wall.
9 2. Lift the ran ge hood up under cabine t and determi ne final location by centering benea th cabinet. Mark on the underside of cabinet the loca tion of the 4 keyhole mounting slots on t he range hood. Set range hood as ide on a covered surface. 3. Use ¹⁄₈ " (3 mm) dri ll bit and d rill 4 pilot h oles as s hown.
10 3. Remove t he power su pply knockout fr om the top or rear of the vent hood (depending on the incoming l oca tion of your home power su pply cable) an d install a UL listed or CS A approved ¹⁄₂ " s train relief. 4. Using 2 or mor e people, lift the hood into final position.
11 RANGE HO OD USE The range hood is design ed to remove s moke, cooking vapors and odors from the cooktop area. For best results, start the hood befo re c ooking an d allow i t to op erate se veral min utes aft er the cooking is complete to cl ear all smoke and odors from the kitchen.
