5 Range COOKTOP U SE Cooktop Con trols Electric ign iters au tomatically light the surfac e burn ers when control knobs are turned t o IGNITE. Before setting a control knob, p lace filled cookware on the grat e. Do not operate a bur ner using empty cookware or while the grate is unoccupi ed.
6 Power failure In case of prolonged power failure, the surface bu rners ca n be lit manually . Hold a lit mat ch near a burner and t urn knob counter clockw ise to I GNITE. After burner lights , turn knob to setti ng. Sealed Surf ace Burners IMPORT AN T : Do not obstruct the flow of combustion and ventilat ion air around the bur ner grate edge s.
7 Use the followin g chart as a guide for cookware material characteristic s. ELECTRONIC OVEN CONTROL Oven I ndicator L ights The indicat or lights are located along all 4 sides of the di splay .
8 Ti me r The Timer c an be se t in hours or minut es up to 12 hours and 59 minutes and counts down th e set time. NOTE : The Timer does not start or stop the oven. To S e t : 1. Press TIMER CANCEL*. The timer oven indicator light will light up. If no action is taken after 1 minu te, the di splay wi ll re turn to the time o f day mode .
9 BAKEWARE T o cook food evenly , hot a ir must be able to circulate. Allow 2" (5 cm) of space around ba keware and oven walls. Use the following chart as a guid e. Alumi num F oil IMPORT AN T : Do not line th e oven b ottom with any type of foil , liners or cookware because perman ent damage will occur to the oven bottom finish.

13 BROILER P AN AND GRID (on som e models) Do not clean in the Self-Cleaning cycle. Cleaning Method: ■ Mildly abrasive clean ser: Scrub with we t scour ing pad. ■ Solution of ¹₂ cup ( 125 mL) ammonia t o 1 gal . (3.75 L) water: Soak for 20 minutes , then scr ub with s couring or s teel-wool pad.
14 Storage Drawer The storage drawer c an be r emoved. Before removing, make sure drawer is cool and empt y . To R e m o v e : 1. Pull the storage drawer straight bac k past the dra wer stop notch and th e end of the side rails. 2. Lift up the bac k of the drawer and pu ll the drawer out.
15 Oven tempe rature too high or too low ■ Does the oven temperature calibration need adjustment? See “Oven T emperat ure Control” section. Display shows messages ■ Is the display showi ng “PF”or a flash ing time? There has been a power fail ure.
