3 RANGE SAFETY The Anti -T ip Bracket The range will no t tip during normal use. 7 COOKTOP USE Cooktop Controls Contro l knobs must be pu shed i n befor e turning the m to a setting. The controls can be set any where between HI and “ 0 ” (OFF). On models with Cerami c Glass, t he controls work on the pri nciple of pe rc ent o n, per cent of f.
8 Ceramic Glass Use The surface cooking a rea will glow red when an element is on . It will cycl e on and off, at all setti ngs, to mainta in the selec ted heat level . It is normal for th e surface of white ce ramic glass to a ppear to change color when surfa ce cooking areas are hot.
9 Cookware IMPORT AN T : Neve r leave empty cookware on a hot surface cooking area, element or surface burne r . Ideal cookw are should h ave a fla t bottom, s traight sid es, a we ll- fitting lid and the material should be of medium-to-heavy thick ness.
