6 COOKTOP USE Cooktop C ontrols Electric ign ite rs automatic ally light th e surfac e burn ers when control knobs are turned to LIGHT . Before setting a control knob, p lace filled cookware on the grate. Do not operate a bur ner using empty cookware or while the grate is unoccupi ed.
7 Burne r Port s: Check burner flames occa sionally for p roper size and shape as shown above. A good flame is blue in color , not yellow . Keep this area free of soil and do not allow spill s, food, cleaning agen ts or any other mat erial to enter the b urner port s.
8 ELECTRONIC OVEN CONTROL Display When power is first supplied to the app liance, “ PF ” and t he current time will appea r on the displ ay . Press any pad to clear “ PF ” from the display . Any ot her t ime “ PF ” ap pears, a pow er failu re has occ urred.
9 Ti m e r The Timer c an be se t in hours or minut es up to 12 hours and 59 minutes, and counts down the s et time. The Timer does not start or stop the oven. To S e t : 1. Press TIMER SET . If no ac tion i s taken a fter 5 minutes , the display will return to the time of day mode.
10 RACKS Position racks before turning the oven on. Do not move racks with ba kewar e on th em. Make sur e racks a r e level. T o move a rack, pull it out to the st op position, raise the front edge, then lift out. Use the fo llowing il lustration an d chart as a guid e.
11 Oven V ent 1. Oven Vent The oven vent releases h ot air and mois ture from the oven, and should not be blocked or cover ed. Doing so will cause poor air circulation, affectin g cooking and clean ing results. Ne ver set plastics, paper or other i tems that coul d melt or burn near the oven vent.
12 T o Custom Broil: 1. Press CUSTOM BROIL. 2. Press TE MP “ up ” or “ down ” arrow pad to change the temperatu re in 5 ° amounts. The br oil range can be set between 300 ° F (150 ° C) and HI (525 ° F [ 275 ° C]). 3. Press ST A RT/ENTER .
13 T o Set a Dela yed Tim ed C ook: Before setting, make su re the clock is set to t he correct time of day . See “ Clock ” section . 1. Press desir ed cook function. Press the TEMP “ up ” or “ down ” arr ow pa ds to enter a temperatu re other than the one displaye d.
14 W arming Drawer (on som e m odels) The W armi ng Drawer is ideal for keeping hot cooked food s at serving temperature. It may also be used for warming breads and pastries . Different types of food may be placed in the wa rming drawer at the sam e time.
15 RANGE CARE Self-Cle aning Cyc le (on som e m odels) IMPORT ANT : The health of some birds is extremely sens itive to the fumes give n off during the S elf-Cleanin g cycle. Ex posure to the fume s may result in de ath to cert ain birds. Alw ays move bi rds to another closed an d well ventila ted room.
16 General C leanin g IMPORT ANT : Before cleani ng, make sure all controls are of f and the oven and cookt op are cool. Always follow lab el inst ructions on cle ani ng p roducts . Soap, wat er and a soft cl oth or sp onge are suggest ed first u nless otherwise noted.
17 T o replace: 1. Unplug range or discon nect power . 2. T urn t he glass b ulb cover in th e back of the ove n counterclockwise t o remove. 3. T urn bul b counterclockwise to remove fr om soc ket. 4. Replace bul b and bulb cove r by tur ning clockwise.
18 3. Press the tab down on th e right side, and li ft tab u p on the left side at t he same time, th en pull draw er out anothe r inch. 4. Holding the d rawer by its si des, not its front, carefully pull it all th e way out. T o Replace: 1. Align t he drawer glide s with the receiving gu ides.
