4 INSTALLATI ON INSTRUCTIONS Unpacking Removin g packaging m aterials ■ Remove tape and glue residue fr om surfaces before turning on the refrigerator . Rub a small amount of liqu id dish soap over th e adhesiv e with your fin gers. W ipe with warm water and dry .
5 Electrical R equirements Befo re yo u mov e you r re friger ator into it s fina l loca tion, it is important to make sure you have the proper electrical connection : Recommended gr ounding method A 115 V olt, 60 Hz. , AC only 15 or 20 am per e fused, gr ounded electrica l supply i s r equired.
6 3. Open the freezer door and tur n on the ice maker by loweri ng the wire shutoff arm. Please refer to the “ Ice Ma ker and Storage Bin/ Bucket ” section for further instruct ions on the operation of your ice maker . ■ Allow 24 hours to pr oduce the fir st batc h of ice .
7 Custom Door P anels Creating Custo m W oo d Panels If yo u plan to ins tall c ustom wood d ecorat or pane ls, yo u will need to create the panels you rself or consult you r cabinetmaker or carpenter . See dimensi onal drawings for wood panel inse rts.
8 7. Tighten the two top trim screws. Base Grille Styl e 1: T o remove the base grille: 1. Open the refrigerator and freezer doors 90 ° . 2. Remove s crews from t he base gril le usin g a scr e wdrive r . NOTE : Do Not Remove T ec h Sheet that i s fastened behin d the base grille .
9 5. Adjust the front lev eling bolt to bring the refrigerator top parallel with the cabi net above the r efrigerator . For standard cabinet s, leave approximately ¹⁄ ₈ in. ( 3.18 m m) ga p bet ween the top h inges and the cabi net. For full -overlay cab inets, leave ¹⁄₄ in.

12 Changing a water filter cartridge The water filter i s located below the freezer compartment door . 1. Loca te the wa ter filt er ca rtri dge cap in the fr ont bas e gril le below the freezer compartmen t door . Rotate the cap counterclockwise to a vertical position and pu ll the cap and filter cart ridge out through th e base grille.
13 ■ The quality of your ice will be only as good as the quality of the water s upplied to y our ice maker . ■ Avoid connecting the i ce maker to a soften ed water supply . W a ter softe ner chemicals (such a s salt) can dama ge parts of the ice maker and lea d to poor qual ity ice .
14 Crisper Humidit y Control (on s ome models) Y ou can cont rol the amount of humidi ty in the mois ture-sealed crisper . Adjust the control to any set ting betw een LOW and HIGH. LOW (open) lets moist air out of the crispe r for best storage of fruits and ve getab les wit h skin s.
15 F reeze r Bask et (plas tic bin on some models ) The freezer basket can be used to store bags of frozen fruits and veg eta bles that may slid e of f fre ezer shelves . T o remove and replace t he freezer basket: 1. Remove basket by slid ing it out to t h e sto p.

17 REMEMBER: A fu ll free zer st ays c old l onger t han a part ially f illed one. A free zer ful l of m eat stay s cold longe r th an a f r eezer ful l of baked goods. If you see that food cont ains ice crystals, it may be refr ozen, althou gh the quality an d flavor may be affected.
18 ■ Are t he doors opened often? The mot or will run l onger when this occurs. Conserve energy by getting all items out at one time, keeping food or ga nized, and closing the door as soon as p ossible. ■ Are the contr ols not set correctly for the surr ounding conditions? Refer to the “ Usi ng the Controls ” section.
19 ■ Is ice stuck in the delivery chute? Clear the ice from the delivery chute with a plas tic utens il. Do not use anything sharp to remove the ice. Y o u could cause dama ge. ■ Is the ice dispenser stalling whi le dispensing “ cr ushed ” ice? Stop disp ensing ice.
20 There is interior moisture buildup ■ Are the air vents blocked in the r efrigerator? Remo ve an y objects from in front of the air vents. See the “ Ensuring Proper A ir Circul ation ” sectio n for th e locatio n of air ve nts.
